The Human/Ogre war

A bunch of Ogres one day decided to expand their territory, for reasons unknown. They got onto a boat, and declared war on the first place they landed; The Heartland. This thrilled the humans.

Some suspect that a handful of humans, wishing to war the ogres but not be the ones to declare war for fear of the ogres drumming up support, convinced the ogres to come and attack them, but this has never been proven. If this was the case, it didn't work in their favour, as the humans suffered heavy losses, with a full quarter of their territory being taken over by the Ogres, and renamed "Big Fort" (typical of the Ogre naming scheme, the land had essentially become a big fort, needing constant defense against the humans.)

Even after the land was taken back, the name remained.
